Outline of Craving Change: What to expect in 12 weeks sessions:

First we will talk about WHY it’s so hard to change:

  1. CBT: Thoughts, feelings, behaviours.  Skimming under the Iceberg
  2. Consider your Environment: Change your eating environment.
  3. Consider how your body and brain work: Work with your body, not against it.
  4. Consider your Learned Behaviours: How to change your Habits.

THEN, we will talk about WHAT needs Changing:

  1. Uncover your eating triggers with what kind of hunger?
  2. Identify eating triggers with HALT & Emotions inventory.

HOW to change with the Change Buffet:

  1. Explore your eating iceberg with CBT and consider your thinking habits.
  2. Change your Thinking: Stop sabotaging yourself and adopt a flexible mindset towards food.
  3. Change your Communication: Assert yourself and replace negative self talk with positive talk.
  4. Ambush your Cravings: Distraction techniques and Put your Craving on Hold.
  5. Slip towards Success with Problem Solving and sample the Change buffet
  6. Celebrate Craving Change and Continue the Change.

I have been very happy how Melanie and her program has helped me so much with my eating. I have been through many different diet plans and I was completely finished with trying anymore 'diets'. I was always wishing that there was something out there that dealt with my emotional side of eating and not just another quick fix that still left me with all the same problems and even more weight gain. So this one seemed to be different and looked like it could possibly be what I have been looking for so I decided ok Im going to give this one a try and it will be my last one I ever will try and I'm so glad I did because it has helped me tremendously!!
